Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless celebrated 25 years of service with a reception on Thursday, October 13, hosted at Southview Country Club in West St. Paul. More than 150 people attended the event, including past and current board members, donors and staff members from partner agencies. We are honored to have so many wonderful, caring people who believe in our mission and support our work.
At the event, we had the opportunity to recognize employees from the State of Minnesota and the University of Minnesota, which were the first two workplace giving campaigns to include Open Your Heart and are still very generous supporters. We also received a proclamation from the Governor’s Office establishing October 13, 2011 as Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless Day in honor of our lasting impact in Minnesota.
Below are a few photos from the evening taken by Bill Wallace, who generously donated his time and talents as our photographer. Visit our Facebook page to see even more pictures from the event!
The Chris Lomheim Trio provided jazz music for the evening.
