Shopping at Kowalski’s Markets is a great way to support local businesses and farmers. But did you know that when you shop at Kowalski’s, you can also support your favorite local charities like Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless?
With the Groceries for Good Causes program, you can support Open Your Heart simply by doing what you may already do—shop at Kowalski’s. Just look for the Groceries for Good Causes stand at the front of the store and put your receipt in Open Your Heart’s bin. Kowalski’s donates to all of the nonprofits featured based on the number of receipts placed in each bin, not the amount you spend. So the more you shop at Kowalski’s, the greater impact you can make!
Over $500,000 has been given to local nonprofits through Groceries for Good Causes, one of many ways Kowalski’s gives back to the community. Over the last three years, Open Your Heart alone has received almost $4,500. Open Your Heart is very grateful for Kowalski’s generosity and in particular for the support we have received from these seven Kowalski’s Markets: Eagan Market, Eden Prairie Market, Grand Avenue Market, Parkview Market, Uptown Market, White Bear Lake Market, and Woodbury Market.
