Bridge for Youth, Minneapolis, $6,794 to purchase, deliver and install a cooling unit for the facility’s main computer service room.

St. Paul Area Council of Churches, St. Paul, $4,785 to purchase a new large commercial freezer and to repair the small freezer at the Department of Indian Work Food Shelf.

Loaves and Fishes Too, Minneapolis, $10,000 to purchase kitchen appliances and cabinetry to finish the kitchen remodel according to 2011 Health Department and energy-efficiency standards.

Fargo-Moorhead Coalition for Homeless Persons, Fargo, ND, $1,875 to support two Project Homeless Connect events to provide food, clothing, medical services, dental care, personal care items, legal documents, emergency service referral and emergency contact cards.

People Incorporated, St. Paul, $10,000 to purchase survival gear, i.e. tents, blankets, sleeping bags and other basic gear for unsheltered, long-term homeless adults with mental illnesses.

Human Services, Inc., Oakdale, $3,895 to purchase a water softener and to paint rooms and hallways in Home Free, permanent supportive housing for single young adults in Stillwater.

Ascension Place / St. Anne’s Place, Minneapolis, $10,000 to purchase a 12-15 passenger van to transport residents to and from program activities.

Hunger Solutions Minnesota, $105,000 to support food shelves through the Open Your Heart Summer Challenge Grants and $100,000 to support the statewide acquisition of fresh produce and protein items for the six Feeding America food banks serving Minnesota.

The Salvation Army, Albert Lea, $10,000 to purchase metal picnic tables and an oven for the meal program.

The Family Place, St. Paul, $5,000 to replace family room furniture and to purchase kitchen utensils, glasses, dishware and a microwave.

Guild Incorporated, St. Paul, $5,260 to replace the furnace and air conditioning units in two homes.

Fargo-Moorhead Dorothy Day House of Hospitality, Moorhead, $10,000 to install a drain tile system in the basement and to purchase furniture and mattress covers for the emergency shelter.

Family Housing Fund / St. Paul Homeless Connect, St. Paul, $10,000 for emergency housing assistance including application fees, damage deposits and first and last month’s rent.

Face to Face Health and Counseling Service / St. Paul Youth Connect, St. Paul, $3,000 to purchase food supplies, backpacks, bus cards and Target cards for distribution at the St. Paul Youth Connect event.

North Anoka County Emergency Foodshelf, Cedar, $3,860 to purchase a commercial freezer.

Al-Maa’uun, Minneapolis, $4,527 to bring kitchen facility into compliance with the City of Minneapolis in order to install new kitchen equipment.

Hope for the City, Minnetonka, $10,000 to purchase a used truck for warehouse operations.

Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches, Minneapolis, $10,000 to purchase additional security technology for Anpa Waste Numpa to increase security when staff are not present.

Faith United Methodist Church / Harbor House Crisis Shelters, Superior, WI, $4,500 to replace carpeting at both shelter sites and to make some repairs to the heating system.

Family Promise of Anoka County, Coon Rapids, $7,320 to purchase airbeds, pillows and storage containers to provide a bed set for each of the congregations hosting families who are homeless.

The Salvation Army, Mankato, $10,000 to replace residents’ beds.

Committee Against Domestic Abuse, Mankato, $10,000 to replace damanged laminate flooring and carpeting throughout the shelter and main facility with industrial grade wood laminate flooring and/or industrial grade carpet.

Bluff Country Family Resources, Hokah, $9,280 to repair and refurbish the transitional living house.

Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans, St. Paul, for repairs and improvements to four transitional homes for veterans in Minneapolis.

Cass Lake-Bena Family Center Food Shelf, Cass Lake, $4,114 to purchase a commercial refrigerator.

Women of Nations, St. Paul, $10,000 to replace the Makeup Air Unit over the kitchen stove and to repair plaster ceiling in resident’s room due to ice dam damage.
