Simpson Transitional Housing Program receives funding from Open Your Heart.
Families entering the program receive assistance finding an affordable home, rent money and set goals. They are assigned an advocate to help them develop living skills.
“Setting the goals got me motivated,” said Helen. Nine months after leaving the program, Helen and her family have settled into a home of their own and are doing great. Helen is in love with her house and her new neighborhood. “My neighbors are like my family,” she said.
